The Redeemed Christian of God, The Covenant House (RCCG, TCH) Parish was planted in September 2001 with Assistant Pastor Bode Ososami as the inaugural pastor. He was replaced by Pastor Dapo Akinosun in 2010; with Pastor Dapo currently serving as the Pastor in Charge. The church is located at Plot 888 Balarabe Musa Crescent; and is the area headquarters of Area- 002 of Zone- 4, Lagos Province- 15, Region- 20. Pastor Dapo also serves as the Area Pastor of Area 002. From September 2010 until now, the Covenant House Parish has grown from a seating capacity of 100 to 500 persons.
By the grace of God, The Covenant House has been able to start three (3) parishes in the last four (4) years. The first is a specialized Hausa Speaking Church, the Covenant Seed Parish, which targets northerners who relocated to Lagos. The others are the Royal Court Parish and the Covenant Hall Parish. The parishes under Area 002 have also grown from four (4) in 2010 to an area of seven (7) in 2014.
The Covenant House now has flourishing Children’s and Teenage churches. In addition, there is also a very vibrant Women’s Ministry. RCCG TCH also runs a bookshop- The WordBank, and is engaged in community service, helps and charity; and also actively runs programs to facilitate youth and women empowerment including skills acquisition.
Among the key outreach programs of RCCG TCH is our focused partnership with the Nigeria Law School and the School of Oceanography students. The church organizes programs that help these students to settle into school, help them to find God; and to connect their academic pursuit to the perfect will of God. RCCG TCH also organises programs and gets professionals in various fields of human endeavor to speak and guide the students on available options and career paths after school.
We give all the glory, honour and thanks unto God for past achievements; and look forward with great hope, knowing that the Almighty God, our Father in Heaven, will continue to sustain the Covenant House Parish, and help us to break new grounds for his glory and praise alone.
Please join us as we unravel together this never ending story of God’s love and favour (over-generous preferential treatment) in every area of our lives.
